ABOUT ELISEO
Biography
​
Born and raised in Mexico City, Eliseo studied piano and music at Mexico's National School of Music. Eliseo has worked on over 80 different professional projects, including TV, theatre, dance, multimedia shows, documentaries, and short films. He also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from the Monterrey Technological Institute of Higher Education in Mexico City and completed the Audio Engineering and Music Production program at the Centre for Arts and Technology in Kelowna, B.C., Canada.
Eliseo's musical style combines piano, orchestra, vocals, traditional instruments, electronic sounds, and contemporary instruments.
Some of Eliseo’s most notable work includes composing the music for the multimedia show 'Yo México', directed by Martin Arnaud, as part of the 100th Anniversary of the Mexican Revolution; composing eleven short pieces for the BBC TV documentary 'Octavio Paz, Man of the Century'; and composing and producing the 'Klasse A' theme for Mercedes-Benz Mexico.
In 2012, upon assuming his first role as Artistic Director, Eliseo created and directed 'Mi Raza,' a show inspired by ancient Mexican cultures such as the Mayans and Toltecs. The following year, he served as the director for the opening ceremony of the 'World Taekwondo Championship, Puebla 2013,' for which he also composed the music for the artistic segments. These segments were directed by Carlus Padrissa & La Fura dels Baus.​

In 2016, he composed the music and created the sound design for the Mexican theater version of 'The Mist in the Mirror' by Susan Hill. This play was produced by the renowned Mexican producers Jorge and Pedro Ortiz de Pinedo and directed by Fernando Canek. In 2017, he was responsible for the sound design and music for the play 'Freud's Last Session,' directed by José Caballero and produced by Jorge Ortiz de Pinedo.

In 2018, he released his first album as an independent artist, 'Echoes from the Soul.' Also, during this year, he was in charge of the original score and sound design for the stage version of 'Dogville' in Mexico City. Additionally, he composed the music for the short film 'To Play with Fire,' directed by Gabriela Paciel (Mex-EU). In 2020, he composed the music for the TV documentary series 'La Ruta de la Trata,' directed by Hector Ortega.

In 2022, he served as the musical director for 'INDECENT,' a theater play staged in Mexico City, and he was the composer for the documentary "Burn Out," directed by Israel Mancera. In 2023, he was the artistic director for the 'TRIBU' 50th Anniversary concert at Teatro de la Ciudad in Mexico City, and he released the album 'Soul Expansion,' which consists of eight piano improvisations.
